Jackson turns 5!

My little man is growing up! Jackson turned 5 on August 23rd and he is loving every minute of it! He now proudly tells everyone he is five when asked how old he is! 

 

On his birthday we celebrated with donuts and presents in the morning. We also surprised him by taping his door shut after he went to bed and filling it with balloons. When he opened the door in the morning the balloons flooded his room! He didn't quite know what to expect since he was just waking up, but once he figured out what was going on, there were balloons everywhere, all day long!

 

We went swimming in the afternoon and met up with my parents & brothers so the birthday buddies could be together on their b-day! Jackson scored a new scooter from Nana and Papa and a Mario towel too! Nick turned 24 and they went to the Pageant of the Masters in Laguna Beach to celebrate. we went home and had Jack's favorite, spaghetti for dinner!

 We also had a family beach party to celebrate all of the August birthdays!

 We had Jackson's "Mario" birthday party at our house and had a bunch of little kid-lets running around for a few hours. We had a bounce house, pin the mustache on Mario, pizza, cake & presents! What more could a kid want?! Definitely a lot of work, but always worth it for the smiles and memories!
