Powell Pics

We got back from Lake Powell just over a week and a half ago and I have been anxious to get our powell pics posted! We had a lot of fun with our family trying to squeeze in as many lake powell traditions as we could, seeing how this was our 18th year ! Crazy!For some reason, this includes trying to catch skittles (which are dropped from the top of the houseboat) in your mouth while treading water! and watching She's the Man! lol We made sure to wakeboard, ski, sky ski, swim, hike, paddleboard and anything else we could think of. We found an awesome beach in Last Chance where someone had left a fire pit and a path leading from the boat to the beach lined with driftwood. We made sure to make it our own by constructing a fort out of driftwood, a horse shoe pit, baby horse shoe pit, baby pool landing w/ shade and a place for the beach chairs complete with a huge log foot rest, which got pulled out of the lake by Corinne and Matt ! This year felt a little different to me because usually the one thing on my mind is wakeboarding... but I had two mobile little guys to worry about, so I don't think I made it out on the early boat one morning! Sad!! I did make sure to get some good wakeboarding in though. Go BIG or Go HOME... right?!We tried to teach Jackson how to ski on the U-board but he was a little afraid of the boat so he just let go every time he started going. Next year we'll try on a seadoo! Ryan taught Jackson how to fish, which was really cute to watch! We did have one casualty... my pops got stitches in his shin on the first day and had to stay out of the water every day after that! At night we enjoyed home made ice cream, star gazing and the boys built huge bonfires! Overall it was a fun trip and we were glad to have some time off with our hard working Daddy!
