A whole day set aside to celebrate mothers... who wouldn't love that! We had a lovely Mother's Day Brunch last Saturday with our extended family at my Grandma's and Grandpa's house in Mission Viejo. It was our first official get together at their house and we ate breakfast out on the lawn in their backyard. Their backyard backs up to a beautiful golf course so it was nice to just sit and relax! We enjoyed bacon, eggs, waffles and every kind of fruit you could think of! Here is my grandma and grandpa and all of the grandchildren and great-grandchildren that were in town to celebrate.
Our group is slowly shrinking as kids are going off to college, getting married and going on missions, but it's also getting bigger as some are coming back and starting new families of their own! (Mainly me for now I guess, but Corinne has one on the way... yeah!)Out of the 16 original grandkids there are now 4 married, 2 great-grand kids, 1 on the way, 3 return missionaries, 1 out in the field headed to Albania and 1 soon to be heading to Costa Rica!
The moms- Aunt Laurie, Aunt Tiffany, Grandma Ella, my mom and me!
Jackson thoroughly enjoyed his breakfast fit for a king
pops and his bro... can you tell whose who?
On mother's day we enjoyed a quick breakfast before church of monkey bread thanks to dad who stayed up late letting the dough rise! We opened presents with mom who was so happy to have framed bridal shots of her two daughters. She'd been requesting them forever and we finally got the hint:) Ryan spoiled me once again by getting me a dell netbook computer which I have thoroughly been enjoying. He needed to purchase a laptop for work and it was two for the price of one so I definitely lucked out on that one! We relaxed for the day and Ryan helped out tons with the motherly duties so I was happy. We tried to get a nice picture of me and the kids but this is the best we could do
I was also able to capture Wade's smile on camera for the first time so I was excited!
For dessert we had some chocolate cake which, as you can tell was delicious!

My favorite is the Chocolate face, and totally clean shirt. Oh, and the bite marks below his lower lip. And the boys definitely look like brothers.
