Thanksgiving with the Miller Family

November was marked with many great memories for our family. We had a lot to be grateful for as we celebrated our 2nd Anniversary, my parents 25th, Ryan's parents 31st,and the grandparents golden 50th! We went down to California for Thanksgiving and all of the festivities. The boys kicked everything off by playing softball with Mom's class. It was hard to tell who was having more fun, the 4th graders or Matt and Ryan! Thanksgiving day, we all went to a park in La Habra to take family photos, and then spent the day at Grandma and Grandpa's eating till our stomachs hurt. We also celebrated Grandpa's 75th birthday... checkout his cake! Friday was time to celebrate Grandma's 70th birthday and her wish was to have us all go horseback riding together. So we did! We went to Camp Pendleton and had a blast. Then we walked on the pier for a little bit and hung out with the fam for the rest of the day. Saturday was the big day for Grandpa and Grandma. In the morning, everyone went kayaking at New Port Back Bay. Mom kept warning everyone not to get wet, b/c we didn't have time to shower before the big night ahead. Needless to say, her and Dad's canoe was the only one to tip over and they both got soaked! I stayed on the shore and took pictures for everyone and relaxed in the California sun with Jackson. After that, we all got ready for the big party at Tiff and Robs house and then it was off to Newport Temple to take more pics. Sad thing though, we were too late and the photographer didn't show! Brandon filled in and the pictures turned out great. Then we went to the Ritz to celebrate the 50th Wedding Anniversary! All of the grandkids surprised G&G with a lovely rendition of the song L-O-V-E and Dad made an awesome slide show of their 50 years together. We watched as G&G cut the cake and shared a dance to their song, "When I Fall in Love" by Nat King Cole. Grandpa surprised us all when he twirled Grandma around the dance floor for a special swing dance! Then we all joined in the dance party and shared lots of laughs and love. Ryan, Jackson and I also got to open our Christmas presents from Mom and Dad. We got a sweet video camera that we're using all the time now! It was a great trip!
