Last week my two brothers and parents took off for Cancun for Josh's last hooray before his mission... So Jackson, Wade and I were determined to have a good time while Ryan was at work and they were on vacation!
Monday we hung out at the Robinson Ranch pool with Jackson's buddies Luke and Logan Didlake. Tuesday we played with them again and this time we headed to the free summer movie showing of The Tale of Despereaux. Jackson loved sitting next to his friends so much, he didn't really care about the movie and they talked the whole time! I tried to shush them politely but they were being so cute and it was a free movie so I didn't really care too much!
Wednesday we decided to blow up the baby pool and put it to good use since it was around 97 degrees! We also played with Jackson's Christmas gifts from his cousins- a water sprinkler and watering pail- which he absolutely loved! THANK YOU Boones!
Thursday we headed to the Ladera Ranch waterpark with some friends from the ward and it was awesome! I have never seen such a cool park that you didn't have to pay for! It had a huge wading pool that had a bridge in the middle of it that looked like a pirate ship with sprinklers and sprayers everywhere! The picture doesn't even do it justice! Jackson played for three hours straight and cried when we had to go home! We will definitely be headed there again!
Here's my friend Nancy and her daughter Sasha
The Live Oak Canyon Ladies
Oddly enough there was a crazy thunder/lightning storm about an hour after we got home and it was about 99 degrees and poring rain! It was fun to watch so we gathered outside with the neighbors till it stopped! All those not living in California are probably laughing at us right now, but we thought it was cool!
Somehow this little fellow got loose in the midst of it all! crazy Murph dog!
Friday we went to our community pool and Jackson decided after watching his friends swim all week long that he could do it too! He's been getting braver and braver lately, but he started going under and really swimming all on his own! He just started doing it and then wouldn't stop going under until it was time to go home! It was a little scary at first, but he's getting better and can swim for a few seconds with out help now! We're going to try and get him swimming so he's a little safer for Lake Powell, which we're going to leave for in a little over a week! We sadly have to say goodbye to my little bro first who's giving his missionary farewell this Sunday! WE LOVE YOU JOSH!
